Lesson 39 - The Future Modifier
Hey everyone, and welcome to KPOPOLOGY GRAMMAR! Today's post is still about modifiers, like the past two lessons. We are almost done with this series, so hang in there! We talked about the Adjective modifier ( here ), and the Verb modifier ( here ). Today we're going to introduce you to the Future Modifier, which is the same for both adjective and verbs. Now, before we start, let me remind you what a Modifier is: it is a grammar pattern that is attached to the verb ( or a noun attached to the copula ), that alters or modifies the noun or the verb. These patterns can be very confusing, so don't hold back from asking questions if you have any. The Future modifier has two forms: 을 if the verb or adjective ends in a consonant, and ㄹ if it ends in a vowel.
